Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Guessing they use Cascade hops, nice and piney, resinous and citrusy taste. Reckon itís better than their IPA.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a slightly off-white head. Aroma is a nice balance of malt and piney/citrus hops. Medium body, taste is balanced a little more to the malt side but the hops are there. Slight dry finish with the hops. Nice beer!

Very nice pale ale. Piney with a distinct metallic finish that goes very well with a cigar.

Bottle. Consistently one of my favorite pale ales. Pours clear dark copper. Nose and taste is floral and pine. Nice dry finish.

Pours a nice copper orange with huge, lasting, pillowy white head. Aroma is balanced with moderate amounts of floral hops and caramel malts mixed together. Taste is lightly bitter hops, mildly spicy, but overall it stays sweeter than most APAs, making it very drinkable and relatively tasty.

Bottle from Tesco, Longford [230514]
Amber, slight haze, fluffy white head, some lacing
Aroma of citrus hops, grapefruit, piney hops, sweet fruity malts
Taste as aroma, getting some tropical fruit as well, citrus zest, soft caramel malts, seems fresh this bottle, really good flavour
Palate - Medium carb and body, nice sweet malts in this. Finish is rather bitter, citrus zest with some fruity sweet malts underneath
Overall - Surprised I havenít rated this before...Iíve has this many times...the bottle is much better than the cask. As itís so easily available it can be overlooked...but this bottle on the day was really decent

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2014 Wow, havenít had this in a while, and it is better than I remember. Golden hazy color, with a medium head. Aroma has some hops on front, well balanced by a malty aroma. The taste is sweet with a slight hoppiness. Doesnít go overboard on the hops like many pale ales. Some sugar, and caramel on the front. Hops in the middle, with a dry finish. Light to medium carbonation.

This is the work horse of pale ales, so reliable and you keep coming back to it. So crisp and clean, but with hops and bitterness in all the right places. I usually go for IPAís over pale ales, but I could always go for one of these. It was just so refreshing.
