Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

I’m not as high on this beer as a lot of people, but it is still very drinkable. Seems almost too one dimensional(almost no sweetness).

Aroma: loads of American hops, citrus, floral, piney hops

Appearance: golden, clear, tan head, some hop/yeast sediment

Taste: Moderate hops with American hops/citrus/floral/piney, clean malt, medium bitter

Palate: medium body, smooth, creamy texture

Overall: Little caramel malts, nice dry finish, very smooth, great balance with malts and hops. Very easy to drink

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 10A). Bottle 35 cl - Batch 071 14 C-2 1431S. AROMA: moderate floral hop aroma supported by a sweet caramelized malt character. fruity esters and diacetyl absent. APPEARANCE: pale amber color and hazy. average moussy ivory head with average retention. TASTE: moderate floral hop flavour with low sweet malt presence. moderate bitterness that lingers into a medium-dry finish. balance towards the hops and bitterness. PALATE: medium-light body with average carbonation. OVERALL: a nice american pale ale example with the balance tilted towards the hops.

Barwa: złota, lekko zmętniona.
Piana: obfita, kremowa, drobnopęcherzykowa, niestety szybko opada.
Zapach: średnio intensywny, głównie aromaty żywiczne z nutami owocowymi, trochę cytrusów i owoców tropikalnych.
Wysycenie: średnie do wysokiego, nadaje lekkości piwu.

bottle at home bought at Ammersin5, Vienna. redish / orange color, little small white head. smells sourish, black currant, some fruits on the smell, overall very subtle smell. medium body, slick mouthfeel, sourish taste, light medical, some fruits, light bitter, medical finish. kinda weird medical note, probably something wrong with the bottle. saved for re-rate.

355ml bottle. Pours clear amber with a medium head that sticks around for a while. Hoppy nose, matching malt body, crisp carbonization, bitter finish. No wonder this beer is a benchmark for pale ales, it simply is good.

12oz bottle. Drank out of the bottle. Great grassy, piney aroma with slight hint hint of tree sap sweetness. Crisp and refreshing. Bitter on the palate but not overly so. Really well-balanced APA. Slightly sweet with a nice crisp finish.
