Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

During the hellish-hot Alabama summer of 2012, when my A/C was broken, and I could not survive at times without having a fan blow directly on me while I sprayed water on myself, I would occasionally crave a good, cold brew to guzzle while I watched Dawn of the Dead. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was one of the better ones. Keeping it slightly cool in the 6-pack, which was in turn inside a double-packed plastic bag, I partake of this fine ale that night the snake crawled out of my couch, and onto my leg (or was I drinking Yuengling in cans at the time? I canít remember as I was drunk and trying to catch that snake that to this day I pray was not a copperhead). Quality stuff, and Iím happy to say that my local BP station carries it for a mere $7.99 per six pack, as opposed to a dollar more at the Kangeroo station across the street. I am also about to tackle some right after I type this - tally-ho!

Bottle courtesy of me, thank me very much! Hazy golden color, large fluffy white head. Aroma of nutty straw. Taste is very bitter cardboard.

One of my favourites of the mainstream APA's. Pours a dark amber with off-white head. Balanced malty and hoppy nose with cereal, a hint of pine resin, some iron and lemon zest. The palate is medium bodied and clean with moderate bitterness, fresh hop profile and a decent finish with good malt structure. A benchmark APA in my book. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cereal, wheat, american hop smell, lively carbonated, medium bitterness, amber color, frothy tan head

A classic Pale Ale. Piney, earthy hops with a mild spiciness on the back end combine with a smooth finish on the palate. Even keeled in terms of bitterness and fruitiness. A "go to" beer if there ever was one.

Bottle, poured into a small glass. Decent sized head. Good carbonation and a romantic of pines and medium hops. A lovely amber colour. A classic.

One of my all time favorites. When in the mood for a pale, it is either this or OB Daleís PA. I wish this was the first beer I had ever tasted.

Bottle at the hotel bar in Latrobe, PA. Golden colored ale. This one owns its hops both in aroma and taste. Citrus notes are also present. Resin reigns supreme towards the middle and end. Brings to mind woody and pine characteristics. Always a reliable pale ale. It doesnít overwhelmingly impress but itís solid.

Hazy golden colored beer with small white head and lots of carbonation. Hopped aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is hopped bitter.

Pale orange/deep golden pour with a frothy medium lasting head. Aroma is citrusy and resiny. Taste is very fruity, more pine resin notes, bitter is just right for the style, complex and satisfying. Mouthfeel is ok but maybe carbonation is a bit off.
