3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Damn good pale ale. A true classic in the craft beer world. For many a moon, I despised hoppy, bitter beer and this was at the top of my "hate to drink" list. Then something extraordinary happened. My palate changed and I started to like more complex hopped up brews. This beer has now become a staple for me. Very crisp and clean on the nose with lots of floral notes and big hops. Foamy white head leaves some moderate lacing. Mouth feel is slightly oily and medium bodied. Taste is lots of crisp clean and bitter hops with pine cone, floral, wheat grass, and honeysuckle to boot. The caramel and cereal also come through. A true craft classic to be enjoyed on a regular basis.

Bomber from ABC Stores in Waikiki. Ever so slightly cloudy with a brilliant amber glow. Aroma has grassy hops with honey malts. Very carbonated, nice full mouth bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle (12oz $1.30) Golden with small white head. Aroma seems slightly off, a little funky like a Belgian but much less so? Any way taste is good. Drry and slightly bitter in the finish. Would never refuse this beer, but not a "regular" either. Good. This was my introduction to craft beer many years ago.

Good staple beer, a good pine taste to it, and addition it has a slight citrus flavor as well. Not my favorite from Sierra Nevada but a good one.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden colour, not too pale, slightly hazy. Very sparse head, little retention. Not too intense hoppy aroma with a touch of honey. Balanced hops in the taste, which kick-in all the way to the back of the mouth and stay there. Strong carbonation with little bubbles.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
355ml bottle. Clear amber with small aerated white head. Not a strong aroma but has some honey, pine and fresh bread. Honey, pine and bread in the taste as well, with some accompanying light lemon zest as well. Dry and bitter finish. Not bad but I would love to try this fresh in the US as I think it may have suffered during the shipping to Australia.
