Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Poured from a can dated May 08, 2015. Aroma has a moderate malt note with some light caramel and moderate toasted bread and nuts. Some light cracker and biscuit. Some medium light floral and herbal hop notes with some citrus. Pours a very clear copper color with a medium sized, moderately thick white head that recedes to a thin film that lingers. Medium high lacing and medium small legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with a strong malt presence of caramel and toasted bread with some lighter biscuit and cracker. Medium low bitterness with some herbal and floral hop notes and lighter citrus. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied and surprisingly crisp with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a malt forward pale ale with a lot more caramel presence and less hops than I prefer. I can understand this being a transformative beer in the ’80s but that 30 years ago, now it’s boring and behind the times.

Bottiglia da 0,35. Colore oro antico e schiuma scarsa e poco persistente. Aroma floreale e fortemente fruttato. Carbonatura appena sopra il giusto. Gusto di agrumi. Finale lievemente amarognolo di candito. Consiglio 8/10

Really flavorful for a pale ale. Citrus hops. Malt background. Easy to drink. Smooth. Good for summer.

The first pale ale I drank back in 95. Aroma is slight pine with hints of lemon and grapefruit. A nice caramel hue and healthy lacing. Nutty sweetness, slightly biscuity malt that has a subtle sweetness. Medium to soft bitterness make it very easy to drink.

Smells hoppy and a smell of alcohol. Citrus taste with strong alcohol taste too, nice on the palate, looks great, a nice dark honey colour. Very nice Pale Ale.

Brown bottle, 350ml, tesco. Scent is slightly bitter pale malts, a bit like pilsner. Pours medium golden with a thin white head subsiding quickly. Taste is slightly harsh, too cold. Pale malts and a nice hoppy bite. Grassy, lime zest. Finish slightly greasy. Good

A 12 fl oz bottle with a packaged date of 17th March 2015 and poured into a pint glass. The beer poured an extremely clear copper colour with a two finger slightly off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving some stringy lacing. Mainly piney aromas along with some citrus lemon and grapefruit. Some bready malts also come through. Pine hop taste along with some bread, biscuit and caramel malt. There’s also a hint of orange and some bitter finish. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, I’d drink this pale ale again, but I do prefer my pale ales with a slightly less pine, and more tropical fruit flavours instead.
