3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not much scent. Thin in flavor and aftertaste were tame. I thought this beer would be much better but was disappointed. But a good beer anyway

Classic american pale ale. Extremely drinkable and without any major negatives. Not great but does the job.

3.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Classic pale ale that is often taken for granted due to its constant availability (at least in California anyway).

Nice refreshing pale ale. Sessionable. Not overly hoppy but they are noticeable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is the flagship beer of the Sierra Nevada brewery, a beer that has been pointed out by others as inspiration for their love of craft beer and as a result I was excited to try it. The aroma is very refined and citrusy and the colour is a light amber, with a slight haze owing to the bottle conditioning, with a nice creamy head. The flavours are beautifully balanced between sweet and dry without an overwhelming bitterness. I really enjoyed the freshness of this beer and can see why people use it as a stepping off point into the world of craft beer as it doesn’t have the bitterness that can turn people off it but still has some beautiful flavours.
