Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Bottle. Poured a nice, medium amber with a big, frothy head. Bright aroma with some citrus coming through. Medium carbonation made this really crisp. Good balance of the malt and citrus flavors with just the right level of bitterness at the finish.

1/2 inch slightly off-white head. Amber color with aggressive carbonation. Faint aroma that is pleasant, somewhat citrusy. Very mild taste, not highly hopped at all in either the initial taste, mid, or aftertaste. This surprised me. It was only about 10 weeks past its bottled date,. so hop fading should certainly not have been an issue. Substantial mouth feel, especially for a pale ale. But, the overall taste is just so unremarkable. While I generally prefer beers that are not over-hopped, it is not just the lack of a hops bite that is surprising. It is just so ordinary. This is a very drinkable ale, but for all the hype about this being the prototypical American pale ale, I was expecting much more.

Bottle. Average white head with average retention. Hazy dark golden colour. Aroma is fresh, floral, herbs and fruit (peach) with some caramel hints. Taste is citrus (grapefruit) with a nice dry bitter aftertaste. Medium oily and medium body palate. A very good American Pale Ale.

Very smooth and well balanced but has a bland, lacking after taste. It feels good in my mouth but could stand to be a bit crisper.

Barwa ciemnozłota, niewielka, drobna niewielka piana, niewielki lacing. Aromat słodowy, ostry, lekkie estry? Smak Słodowy, pełny, niska, ale przyjemna i wyczuwalna goryczka.

Aroma is slightly piney, malty, mouthfeel is very rounded and soft. Taste is crisp, refreshing, with some grapefruit and resin but not that much. A solid performer still after all these years.

The classic pale ale that started it for me. Pours a clear, bright caramel. Love the good pine taste to it, and some citrus flavor, even a slight hop spice.

Bottled 25/03/15. Pours a clear, bright caramel with a one finger head that thimst to a film and leaves mild lacing. Aroma has smooth notes of citrus, pine, bread, and slight hop spice. Taste is balanced. Bread, caramel, mild pine, citrus, resin, and slight hop spice. Medium body and carbonation clean and very easy drinking in the mouth with a slightly dry finish. Overall a really nice, easy drinking. Beer. Bready caramel mild pine, citrus, and hop spice.
