4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Lovely amber colour, with a good head. You can smell those citrus hops straight out of the bottle, but the aroma fades a bit after the pour. Medium body, with citrus hops, I’m mainly getting grapefruit on the middle and finish. Carbonation pretty much spot on for me. A very good beer, very tasty, but I couldn’t drink more than one or two at a time.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours nearly clear lightish amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and needles, with notes of malt and fruity touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour wit notes of citrus, malt and fruit and subtle estery and caramellish hints. Bitter aftertaste with citric hints. Well-balanced and non-aggressive. Decent stuff.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
5.6% ABV. American Pale Ale.
Poured out a deep amber, 16ºSRM.
Nose was a rich malt sweetness. Over ripe fruit.
Pronounced carbonation. Graham cracker, pie crust with a pronounced corn syrup sweetness, almost syrupy, but nicely blaanced by the carbonation.
Pronounced hop bitterness to leaven all the sweet malty flavors. There is a piney finish.
Very good. Very likeable. Nostalgia helps put this on Favorites List. I mean, this is the one of the pioneers that started it all.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Orange, mango, yeast.
Palate: Medium body
Flavor: Sweet malty dried mango, caramel and sweet orange. Quite dry finish.
Comment: I felt this turned thin rather quickly. Not bad, but not as good as I remember. This may not have been a fresh bottle.
