Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Poured from a can. Pour is a slightly hazy golden color with an off white fluffy head. Lots of piney, citrusy hop notes, very floral, nice bit of malt and a little grapefruit. Taste is very pine forward and there’s hints of citrus, some sweet malt, and with hints of peach.

Really good beer. A little big for a pale ale. Nice hoppy aroma. Pretty malty for pale but the malts were nice and pleasant even though. Great brew

Bottle from the LCBO. Poured intoa shaker, hazy gold with a 1-inch head. Hops forward on the nose, piney and fruity. A bit sweet on the tongue for my tastes. Nicely carbonated, with a clean hoppy finish that demands another sip pronto. Tasty.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Amber body with a white head. Dominating notes of hops, great bitterness. Some notes of oak in the side.

Flimsy foam which immediately gives room to the release of a fresh fruit aroma with notes of malt and light hop. The flavor is very fresh of both honey, citrus and a little nuts. This is certainly a pale ale that is among the best of its kind. Typically brash American hop bitterness.

L: pours a lightish copper with a big fluffy head that sticks around. S: nothing bold, just lovely notes of sweetened malt, floral and grassy hops. T: a stronger malt flavour than I remember, backed up very nicely with a blend of gentle bitterness, and some citrus. F: a smooth balanced ride across the palate, medium-bodied and lasting. O: still as good as any pale ale, blending US and English characteristics flawlessly.

Pours a sort of hazy dark gold/coppery colour with a small off-white head. Faint nose: citrusy, caramel. medium bitterness, An overall OK beer, not breathtakingly good.

3 month old can. Pours a hazy darker gold with a decent amount of suspended sediment and a nice fluffy cream-colored head that settles to a thinner film, leaving some soapy ropes of lace. Nose involves the hallmarks of Cascade: pine needles, orange, grapefruit, and lemon citrus notes, touches of caramel, refreshing hop spice, herbal notes and some hearty bread dough. Somewhat sweet, decently bitter. Medium to lighter bodied, quite oily, decently active, with a drying toasted malt and piney bitter hop finish. Balances refreshing with complexity as well as any beer I’ve had in a while. Fresh and well kept, this is as good as anything in that session-plus range.

Bottle, 33 cl. Clear light copper body with a short white head. Great hoppy aroma with fruit and citrus notes. Full medium-dry taste with medium bitterness and lots of hoppy notes. Slightly sour. Very tasty. Light body with average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. A fresh and crisp pale ale. One of the best I have had.

Bottle. Pours yellow-copper with a low head. Aroma is resin, hops and some fruits. Taste is creamy, malty, fruity and with a nice resin-like bitterness.
