Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

It may be cliche to describe it as such, but this is the classic American pale ale. Aromatic hoppiness, orange pale color, citrus aroma, bitter taste but not unreasonably so. Arguably sets the standard for Pacific coast pale ales. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

16 oz can Into glass Aroma: some subtle citrus and maybe a bit piney hop aroma. Cascade hops. Low malt aroma. Clean. Appearance: clear amber (maybe dark gold) with white quickly disappearing foam. Some thin lacing. Just a tad darker than what I expect from "pale" ale. Flavor: moderate hop bitterness balanced well by the malt. citrus notes. Low hop bitterness. Mouthfeel: low to medium bodied. Low to medium carbonation. Smooth and clean no harshness and moderate hop bitterness. Malt takes back seat to hops. Overall: very drinkable, balanced, perhaps even a bit conservatively boring pale ale (or session IPA). Not extreme in any criteria except a bit more amber than pale ales. SRM is 8-9 range by eye. And slightly more malty than many traditional pale ales ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear deep gold with a bit beige head and decent lacing. Light aroma of citrus, resin and light malt. Well balanced crispy taste. High carbonation, light body. A perfectly balanced pale ale, no astringency, no off-flavors. Refreshing.

Clear golden beer, smells of fruit and bready spices. There’s a spiciness to the taste as well, along with some grassy, zesty fruit, bitter hop and a floral feel to it. There’s a bit of a caramel base to it as well giving it a slightly richer feel than many pale ales. Really very tasty.

This is a well balanced beer from the bottle. Nice amount of hops and great body. 5.6% alcohol and minimum fruit taste. This is a nice regular drinking ale. An interesting bottle. Recommended.
