Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Pours a golden amber with a nice, one finger white head. Smells great. Like a basket full of fresh citrus fruits, flowers, and pine needles. Nice lacing on the glass. Taste starts off very citrusy, and a little bitterness from the hops, but finishes with a nice maltiness that coats the palate. Very well balanced flavors here. Nice full mouthfeel to it. Iíve had this beer a multitude of times but Iíve never really sat down and just appreciated it for what it is, a solid beer. As far as Pale Ales goes this is one of my favorites when Iím in the mood for something a little more mild than a big hoppy IPA. One of my go-to beers when Iím at a restaurant since I can get it just about anywhere around here.

Light amber pour with a white head. Small clumps of yeast floating around from bottle conditioning. Light caramel and floral hop aroma. Flavors of caramel, a hint of pine, and an assertive hop bitterness to finish.

Benchmark American Pale Ale. Out of the bottle, poured a beautiful deep copper colour with slight haze from bottle conditioning, and with a creamy persistent head. I got aromas of grapefruit citrus, orange peel, pine, and wildflower honey. Moderate caramel malt, moderate hops with lingering bitterness. Very well balance. Creamy, refreshing. Excellent.

Bottle at The North Camp, Farnborough. 16/08/16. Zilch aroma. Deep amber. Flat. Bright wide head which soon dies away. Smooth. Frothy. Sharp bitternes, but not overly so. Underlying sweetness. Decent.

Pours a light copper color. Very bubbly. Somewhat hazy. Good thick two finger white head. Okay retention, good lacing.

Aroma is medium roasted malt. Light spicy hops. Light pepper, light pine. Smells nice.

Taste is roasted grains. Somewhat sweet. Lightly bitter. Light pine, slightly spicy. This is essentially the same as the nose. Good flavors, but everything is light.

Mouthfeel is medium full bodied. Very smooth. Easy to drink.

Overall, itís good. Solid pale ale. Smooth, low bitterness. Itís a winner. I would recommend it, and I would buy it again.
