Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2014 Classic pale ale that is often taken for granted due to its constant availability (at least in California anyway).

Always a great go to beer. Beautiful marriage of pine and citrus aroma. Orange and clear with a solid white head. Taste is clear, citrusy, woody and pine.

Had to rate this classic. Bottle at the Encore, Southampton. Pours golden with a white head. Big hop aroma, citrus. Very bitter edge to the taste with some sweetness. End of the day so not picking up everything!

Hoppy, refreshing, as good from a bottle as it is draft. Bit pricey on draft mind.

An amber colour with a firm white head. The aroma is fruity with a hint of plums. There is a rich maltiness in the mouth and plenty of fruity hop taste. The fruit notes are plums and raisins as well as more grapefruity top notes. Nice finish, which is long, dry and slightly fruity. This is a very well-made beer, and I can see why it is considered an American classic.

Bottle courtesy of me, thank me very much! Hazy golden color, large fluffy white head. Aroma of nutty straw. Taste is very bitter cardboard.

One of my favourites of the mainstream APA's. Pours a dark amber with off-white head. Balanced malty and hoppy nose with cereal, a hint of pine resin, some iron and lemon zest. The palate is medium bodied and clean with moderate bitterness, fresh hop profile and a decent finish with good malt structure. A benchmark APA in my book. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cereal, wheat, american hop smell, lively carbonated, medium bitterness, amber color, frothy tan head

A classic Pale Ale. Piney, earthy hops with a mild spiciness on the back end combine with a smooth finish on the palate. Even keeled in terms of bitterness and fruitiness. A "go to" beer if there ever was one.

Bottle, poured into a small glass. Decent sized head. Good carbonation and a romantic of pines and medium hops. A lovely amber colour. A classic.

One of my all time favorites. When in the mood for a pale, it is either this or OB Dale’s PA. I wish this was the first beer I had ever tasted.
