Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

355 ml bottle from SuperAlko in Tallinn (€ 2.99). Half a year until BB. Near clear amber colour, head off-white, not big, retention and lacing okay. Nose is quite a boring bouquet of Caramel malts and the floral, grapefruity, yet a bit spicy-piney Cascade hops. Taste very similar, starts with moderate fruity sweetness, continuing with a rather disappointingly mild resinous bitterness. The initial airy fruitiness builds into a more full caramelly effect later on. Aftertaste a bit too malty and stale, maybe it’s just been standing on the shelf too long. Body medium, carbonation active but pleasantly soft. I imagine it’s great when fresh and in hot Californian weather… Will most def review a more fresh bottle in the future.

350ml bottle. Finally got round to rating this. Pours a very slightly hazy light amber with quite pillowy white head. aroma is full of fresh hops - quite citrussy. smooth hoppy taste, oranges, resin with a pine finish. easy drinking.

Bottle. Rounded pleasant fruity hops in the aroma. Light hops in the flavour on a medium malty backbone. Slightly bitter finish. (At home, 23.01.2015)

Bittering Hops: Magnum, Perle. Finishing Hops: Cascade. Malts: 2-row Pale, Caramel. 38 IBU. Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 01.23.14. A: See through orange. 1/2 finger head. S: Grapefruit. Not as strong as other APAs. T: Pine, biscuit. M: Crisp. Nice and bubbly on the tongue. O: This is definitely a softer APA in terms of hops than others, but that is an unfair comparison since it is from an earlier time than more current hop-heavy APAs. It is a very well balanced, easy drinking beer. This is a classic, a standard, and a piece of craft beer history that you can drink today. Amazing!

35cl bottle in teku. Pours a moderate but quite persistent off white head, orange to amber hazy colour. Smells sweet malty, orange, citrus peel, floral, earthy. Tastes caramel, orange fruits, herbs; almost medium level for both sweetness and bitterness, incredibly smooth and balanced. Maybe the best "easy" to find Pale Ale, probably cause its also one of the few american crafts exported to europe and around the world, a great quality brew

Bottle. Aroma of raisins and lemon. Taste is lightly fruity, with some toffee, and a bitter finish that creeps up at the end. A solid pale ale.
