Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Amber color with little head. Maybe the barkeep didn't know how to pour this beer. Aroma of biscuit and cascade. Taste was fairly smooth with a hoppy finish. The benchmark pale? I'll have to have a few others to decide. Isn't beer drinking wonderful!!

BEER REVIEW #100 !This was included in the SN Fall sampler 2014. An original classic and one I feel proud to have as my "official" 100th review. Wonderful gateway brew. Perfect balance of subdued hops with subtle malt backing. Rarely drink pale ales as I'd rather have an IPA 99.9% of the time over a pale but can appreciate a quality example of the style all the same. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of malt, some caramel, tropical fruit, pine, hops. Flavour is fruity and light malty, with a medium bitterness in the aftertaste. Very crisp and fresh hoppy brew.

Mooie oranje kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt, beetje honing, hop en mout. Smaakt fris, fruitig, hop. Goede bittere nasmaak.

After hundreds of craft brews, I realized I missed an original. This six-pack has dated bottles, and looks good! I notice a nice sediment layer in the bottle! Lots of smoke upon popping the bottle cap. An aggressive pour makes a nice, thick, two-finger, rocky, near-white head. It has a lot of particulates in it, I am guessing finishing hops particles. Smells floral, caramel, slightly astringent, west coast clean and bright. The taste is similar to the nose. Hop forward, a medium body, and a dry, clean finish. Big swallows are easy with this refreshing brew. It is one of the best Pale ales I have had. It seems more in the style than something like Dale’s, which is very hopped for a pale ale. I will be drinking many more of these in the future hopefully!

Pours amber with a one finger off white head with pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of pine, citrus, biscuit malts, caramel, and some grassy hops. Taste is pine, citrus, bready malts, biscuit malts, grassy hops, caramel, and sweet malts. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi-moderately bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a classic, well balanced APA that has always been one of my go to beer at bars and restaurants.

Bottle. Light biscuity malt and lemony hops, Cascade. Soft, mellow malts, decent bitterness, very fruity. Still tastes good.

Always a great go to beer. Beautiful marriage of pine and citrus aroma. Orange and clear with a solid white head. Taste is clear, citrusy, woody and pine.

Had to rate this classic. Bottle at the Encore, Southampton. Pours golden with a white head. Big hop aroma, citrus. Very bitter edge to the taste with some sweetness. End of the day so not picking up everything!

Hoppy, refreshing, as good from a bottle as it is draft. Bit pricey on draft mind.
