Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Appearance: Poured from a bottle into a 12 ounce glass. Poured a nice golden color with almost no head. Smell: Has a yeast and citrus smell to it. Taste: Has a light lemon citrus taste followed by the malt with a slight biterness. Feel: Medium carbonation and creamy. Overall: First time I picked a pack of this up. I’ve heard good things about it before, so I decided to pick it up. 12 pack for $16 wasn’t too bad. It has a clean taste. Very crisp and refreshing. Despite it’s 5.6% ABV, it’s a dependable beer that delivers great taste and drinkability. I’ll definitely be trying some of their other beers one day.

Bottle. Pours a lovely clear amber with one of the best, creamiest, longest lasting heads I’ve ever seen come out of a bottle - in fact, for a 350 ml bottle I’m staggered by the lacing. Smells of butter, burnt caramel and pancakes which you just want to dive straight into - and when you do you’re rewarded with an extremely smooth, creamy texture. The flavour is medium bitter with a relatively short finish, mild hops, treacle and a hint of citrus on the tip of the tongue. The taste, while delicious, is perhaps a little too abrupt which is the only place I can mark this down; still, for a small bottle I picked up in Asda I’m genuinely amazed by how good this is.

Bottle. Light amber with a white head. Well balanced hoppy beer that isn’t too crazy on the hop front compared to some to other APAs. Easy drinking but still interesting. A quality beer.

Bottled, 0.35l. Pours clear bronze colour with mid-sized frothy brownish head and fizzy carbonation. Spicy hops and citrus aroma. Fresh and crispy start followed by not very sweet malty notes and hoppy aftertaste. Full bodied with slick texture and fizzy carbonation in palate.

Pours pale yellow cloudy with lacing white foamy head. Aromas fruits, orange, vanilla, floral herbs.Texture is little tart and fizzy mouthful carbonated, body medium full watery slick body. Palate some citrus fruits, hoppy bitter dryness and some sweet notes. Aftertaste is hoppy, fruity with long bitter finish. All in all very balanced brew.

Copper, clear, thin, light. Fairly bland with a sparkly, hoppy taste. Goes well with a spicy, spicy chili though. Otherwise unremarkable, but OK.
