MikeT (76), Hollis, New Hampshire, USA May 7, 2005 Updated: Nov 23, 2005 What can anybody say that hasn’t about this ale maybe applaud the excellent work done on perfecting a unique bottle and label that sets the expectations.
It pours out a clear light orange with a nice head that fades fast but into a nice creamy top that laces nicely.
The smell is hoppy with bitter orange and pine notes that make you realize this is not your average mass produced ale.
Taste is only slight malt with more hops and citrus but not a strong grapefruit taste but more like lemon/orange with a nice dry light bitter finish.
This is not a heavily carbonated beer and feels great in the mouth.
One of those beers that taste great and begs you to have another.
Note: This beer is available in almost any grocery store in NH and reasonably priced. Only wish SN would distribute more of their other beers.
GNome (26), England Nov 30, 2008 Truly a classic! A perfectly balanced and highly drinkable pale ale. teamrassas (9), USA does not count Nov 29, 2008 Just a graet all around pale ale. Medium hoppy nose, nice sweet floral notes. Some really good carmel notes on the finished layered with mild bitterness. bity (7), Pueblo, Colorado, USA does not count Nov 29, 2008 An Awesome beer! Taste floral, woody, clove, with a medium sweetness, medium bitternes and lively, full body. My go to beer! welho (3), Finland does not count Nov 29, 2008 Well, this is one of my absolute favors.
