charcot25 (181), Cordova, Tennessee, USA Nov 2, 2007 Great APA. Pours a light copper. Has a pronounced citrusy American hop aroma. Intense flavors of citrus (especially grapefruit) and pine with satisfying malt backbone. Light caramel. Medium finish.
patrick820 (69), San Luis Obispo, California, USA Oct 9, 2008 Pours light amber with small very light tan head, slight aroma of hops, flaovr is slightly bitter piny hops, with a little maltyness, high carbonation, feels nice in the mouth. Steely (34), , Sweden Oct 4, 2008 Pours a light amber yeast-hazy color with thin white head. Fresh aroma with citrus and some sweet fruitiness. Refreshing flavor with citrus and a light grapefruit hop-bitter finish. tgncc (299), Bellmore, New York, USA Oct 2, 2008 Decent piney hop aroma, not very strong. The color is amber, white head. This is typical for the pale ale style. The flavor is of caramel malts, and a gentle hop balance. The finish is a light touch of citrus hops. Perfectly ok, middle of the road pale ale. A bit watery. greig (70), Hamilton, New Zealand Oct 2, 2008 A nice pale amber, hoppy, quenching beer. It’s a pleasant enough pale ale, but it doesn’t really stand up against other beers. NZ’s Epic Pale Ale is a beeter American Pale Ale than this beer which once defined the style! That said, there’s really nothing wrong with it, it just lacks a bit of complexity. liinis (481), Finland Oct 1, 2008 clear lightamber with white head. nicely hoppy and spicy. nothing special. This really is overrated.. don’t get it. quite normal pale ale, not even close to the ten best pale ales I’ve drunk.
