does not count sandoz (7), revere, Massachusetts, USA Apr 28, 2008 I call this old reliable, always available, good price and my favorite APA.Total citrus hops domination going on here.Does anybody else stir the yeast on the bottom of the bottle?Totally agree with partyninja(There is no doubt to me that this is the finest mass produced beer on the market.)
urnamesucks (63), New York City, New York, USA Aug 20, 2008 One of my favorite pale ales. Sierra Nevada needs to keep up the great work. buzzoven (93), Japan Aug 17, 2008 Probably one of the most well-distributed and easily available of all American Pale Ales. Been around for a long time and have a reputation for a solid brew. This pours a nice amber shade with a heavy orange tint. Upfront smell of yeast and hay...nice mild earthy smell. Taste is smooth and well balanced; showcasing subtle, but effective hops and malt. Finish is mildly bitter but goes down nice. Refreshing beer that is easily enjoyed throughout any season. Underhook (93), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Aug 16, 2008 Pours a bit darker than expected, looks wonderful. Smells hoppy with hints of citrus fruit. Taste is malty, very citrusy, crisp, incredibly easy to drink. This gets me excited for Sierra Nevada’s IPA. Really complete, excellent tasting beer that’s unbelievably easy to drink. A-level beer. mjfleming23 (11), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2008 One of the best widely available beers in the US. I love the strong hoppy aroma and complex taste. wmubronco1992 (103), Coldwater, Michigan, USA Aug 14, 2008 Bottle - Pours a clear light amber color. Medium white head. Nice lacing. Mild hoppy aroma. Good grassy crisp flavor. Lots of hops. Good mouthfeel. Very refreshing. Would much rather be drinking an IPA, but overall have to give this one high marks for drinkability.
