jonwell (104), Huntington Beach, California, USA Oct 29, 2004 I’ve been drinking this forever, it (wrongly) gets passed up for other beers when I go to the store, but I finally have an opportunity to rate it here. Last poster said it right. It’s simple. But if it ain’t broke, why fix it, right? Aroma is cleanly hoppy, bit of malt character there. Color is golden copper, very variable when backed to light. Pretty beer. Head is white and fairly persistant. Flavor is very crisp, mildly but sharply bitter, tangy hops ending with sweet pale malts and lingering dry bitterness. Better then most beers out there, and trumps most imitators. Good work.
GNome (26), England Nov 30, 2008 Truly a classic! A perfectly balanced and highly drinkable pale ale. teamrassas (9), USA does not count Nov 29, 2008 Just a graet all around pale ale. Medium hoppy nose, nice sweet floral notes. Some really good carmel notes on the finished layered with mild bitterness. bity (7), Pueblo, Colorado, USA does not count Nov 29, 2008 An Awesome beer! Taste floral, woody, clove, with a medium sweetness, medium bitternes and lively, full body. My go to beer! welho (3), Finland does not count Nov 29, 2008 Well, this is one of my absolute favors. I just like the dry and bitter after taste. Pinball (813), Allerød, Denmark Nov 28, 2008 cleat but a bit cludy yelloe, coarse white head,
absolutely fasntastic aroma, flowery, faint spices.
