Slacks (360), Bolton, Ontario, Canada Jan 27, 2008 Draught @ The Rum Barrel, Key West, FL: Practically a drive-by draughting for me as I was running late to get back to the cruise ship I had come in on but wanted to try something. Poured deep rusty orange, decent foamy white head. Very hoppy and citrusy aroma, some floral notes, quite nice. The flavour hits you all hops off the top, which I loved, and makes way for a smooth sweetness and rich malty balance. I’d had high hopes for this one and it didn’t disappoint! And, I made it back to the ship with.. minutes to spare.
fidel (310), Livermore, California, USA Nov 28, 2008 Golden amber, crisp, hoppy, citrus, grassy, piney, malty, spicey, dry finish. Beardface (257), Eugene, Oregon, USA Nov 21, 2008 Not nearly as tasty as the bottled version. Needs more booze, more booze I say! fakepurseninja (578), Washington, USA Oct 31, 2008 Great meal pairing for a cusine of brisket, ribs, beans, mashed potatoes and other western frontier fare. Nice hop aroma and citrus bite with a great lightly sweet malt backbone. lithy (385), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 25, 2008 On tap, pours a clear darkish yellow with a nice creamy tap white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrusy, sweet malts. The biggest difference from the bottled version to me is that this one is crisper, probably from more sweetness and less bittering hops, but the flavors are still almost identical, spicy notes, citrus and floral hops over a nice pale malt body. Nice dry finish. f351c4v (244), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 18, 2008 On tap @ SFO airport. Pours a clear amber color with a fluffy white head. Mildly hoppy aroma, somewhat floral, clean. Touch of spiciness in the body, doesn’t seem to have same hoppiness as bottled version, but does finish extra dry. A standard.
