Bhops (175), Dallas, Texas, USA May 10, 2008 at flying saucer. Not as hoppy or alcoholic as bottle version, but very drinkable.
BMan1113VR (708), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Jul 30, 2008 On tap. Pours with a large, creamy, off-white head covering a clear orangee body. Strong lacing you expect from a tap fresh beer. Aroma of light grapefruit hops. Taste is light citrus with maltey wheatiness and a light spicey hoppiness. Good fall back. 502Flavors (199), Kentucky, USA Jul 29, 2008 Draft at a local dive bar. It was basically the same as the bottled version - same great, almost spicy, floral hop aroma and flavor with just a hint of pale malt presence in the back - but much fresher. I have had bad (or just not so good) bottles of SN pale ale, but never a bad draft. Good stuff, great safety. I always seems to forget how good it really is though. Beerman6686 (628), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2008 Pours a nice amber colorw ith a big off white head. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops. Flavor is much the same, but very well balanced by the malt, this one is a bit maltier than the bottle. gary07734 (117), Tyne & Wear, England Jul 20, 2008 On tap in York, good golden pour with a large white head. Smell is hoppy and fresh, taste is hoppy, with a nice bitter finish, some fruity, sweet flavours. Very nice. BusBoy (12), , California, USA Jul 14, 2008 On opening bottle I get a cidery/pear blossom and hop smell. Fruity esters during the pour. Nice auburn-copper colour. Tangy and extra malty with caramel and sugary notes to it. The bitterness is savory, a hint of tobacco IS the best way to describe the mellow fragrance as you sip. A superior thirst quencher and an elegant touch to a working man"s beer.
