DTM (395), Winters, California, USA Apr 24, 2008 Draft at the Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, NV. Just like the previous rater I didn’t realize there was a difference between draft and the bottle. Not as bold as the bottled Sierra, but I liked it better. I always felt that Sierra Nevada beer always had a little too much hops for my taste. This one was balanced perfect and went down smooth.
Dedoulequeen07 (104), glasgow, Scotland Oct 7, 2008 Porter House London. Was dissappointed with this. Not as hoppy and grassy as i have tasted before. Lacks fresh cirtusey bittering hops which i enjoy most about a good IPA. Underhook (141), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Oct 6, 2008 Pours a bit darker than expected, looks wonderful. Smells hoppy with hints of citrus fruit. Taste is malty, very citrusy, crisp, incredibly easy to drink. This gets me excited for Sierra Nevada’s IPA. Really complete, excellent tasting beer that’s unbelievably easy to drink. A-level beer. Didn’t notice too much of a difference from the bottle, to be honest. JCastner (38), New York, USA Oct 4, 2008 A golden copper with a dense white head and a lot of carbonation. Aroma is of cascades and pale malt. Taste is dry malt with little bitterness. Medium body. An easy drinking session beer, but like a lot of Sierra’s offerings, it’s not very complex. Neematoad (61), , Illinois, USA Sep 19, 2008 A very citrusy beer that is golden yellow. I really enjoyed it and was easy to drink. Didn’t really sense any overly dryness in it like many complain about. Definitely a good pale ale. Magic_dave6 (4000), London, Greater London, England Sep 19, 2008 Tap at the rake. Aroma is noteably SN citrus character, but muted slightly by a dusty character. Pale malts and grassy, citrus is again there but lacking somewhat. Im wondering if it was just a bit old? Not as hot as the bottle i thought.
