Keg at the brewers house
Mid amber full bodied, moderate carbonation, subtle grapefruit aroma, caramel malt and bitterness at first become more obviously hoppy (pine forests) on warming. Fresh and herbal and very easy drinking.

Such a beautifully made pale ale. It’s lightly bitter, juicy citrus, very clean. Flavor is not over the top, somewhat balanced. Overall, a great beer.

On tap at Capones Hayden. Pours clear old gold with a thick cream-colored head with great retention and lace. Aroma is pine, pineapple. Taste is bittersweet, grainy. Medium bodied, somewhat low carbonation. Nice beer. I need to compare it to the bottle now.

Draft in a taster - nose is citrus. Sip adds orange and a slight malt presence. This must be old because I like the bottle version better.

Tap at Lazy Dog. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin layer of off white head. Aroma of malts, slight hops, and a nice bit of pine. Taste is smooth, slightly toasted malts and citrus hints.

Draft at the Sierra Nevada Tap House Reno. Pours a clear copper color with a medium sized fizzy off-white head. The aroma has some caramel sweetness, citrus hops and some toasted grains. The flavor is a blend of caramel malts offering moderate sweetness, citrus hops, hints of pine, and toasted grainy bread. Finish has some bitterness to it, medium bodied. Brighter and fresher on draft. Having this while outside watching people kayak on the river added to the experience.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2014 Really tastes like an APA should. Plenty of grassness in the flavor with an acceptable consistency.

On tap at Madam's organ in DC. Pours amber with thin white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of toasted malts, caramel, fruity hops, with a hint of resinous pine. Well balanced and refreshing. One of my favorite pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap pour. Amber-gold with just the right amount of head. Excellent lacing. Nose is grassy hops - with some pine - and caramel malts. Much larger (and fresher) compared with prior bottle pours. Taste follows. Constrained bitterness. A little grainy of a mouthfeel. I enjoyed this much more from tap than bottle.
