"Really dug this one. Just the right amoun tof funk and fruit on the nose. A little barnyard flavor...musty, but light and refreshing despite the relatively high abv. Fruit comes through just enough to notice. I could drink this all day."

Growler. Rating #7. Hazy golden pour with a decent white head. Fruity aroma, slight tartness. Dry, more fruit and a little spice. (2222)

5 ounce sample at Rubicon in Sacramento. Light, faint, sweet aroma with mild banana esters. Not too much else present in this pedestrian nose. Murky, muddy hazy pale golden body with a small, weak, white head, Starts sweet and kind of fruity. Almost apple-like...acetaldehyde? Lightly medicinal. This is followed by some band-aid and burnt rubber. Light fruity sweet esters late. Not a good experiment.

Tap at Rubicon fur beer week. I donít know what a persimmon tastes like, but this beer is fruity. Along the line of a saison. Good.

Tap at Sacramento Brewers Showcase. Pours dishwater gold with an off-white head. Aroma is earthy. Med body. Flavor is yeast/spicy and earthy. Persimmon? Well there is a fruit aspect. Finishes earthy and fruity. Nice.

Draft. Hazy amber beer with a whitish head. Spice and eyast aroma with malt and light fruitiness. Yeast and spice flavor with malt and light fruitiness. Medium bodied. Yeast and fruitiness lingers with malt and light spice.

Pouring at the Saturday afternoon session of EBF. Pours a lightly hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Soft sweet fruit on the nose. Fruit, wheat, soft and smooth. Touch of funkiness. Long musky yeast and funk.

A Sim rate (Extreme Beer Festival, Boston): Bitter, wheaty and slightly sweet. Canít really taste the persimmon, but itís ok.
