I really enjoyed this beer. Creamy and smooth as all hell, with a beautiful dark body and full, fluffy head. Chocolate and roasted malts are prevalent, with a touch of hops in the end. Very nice indeed.

Massive flavor. For a standard gravity brew this one has nearly the character of a good imperial stout. Hoppy with a mix of citrus and spice that complements the dark chocolate/ toffee flavors from the malt. Often American porters have a clean hard bitterness that conflicts witht the bitterness of the roast malt. Not so in this beer. Bitter, yes. Harsh, no. With Bell’s, one of the best robust porters in the states.

This stuff smelled and tasted like cough medicine to me, which came as a surprise. Hopefully I just got a bad batch.

Among the best porters on the market. Dark and beautiful appearance. Good aroma. Wonderful roasted chocolately flavor filling your mouth and lingering beyond the swallow. Very nice. Very excellent porter.

Roasted malts, choc and vanilla, smoke and coffee in the nose. Tootsie Roll. Dark, dark brown with small off white head. Medium oily body and medium carb. Bit of acidity and sourness. Tootsie Roll, sweet flavor. Light bitter roasts, with pleasant dry after. A very nice, well-balanced porter.
