Coffee and chocolate aroma, clear burgundy, good sized toffee head, plenty of lace. Rich mocha flavour, toasty, some burnt almonds. Well balanced, quite bitter, woody and a very dry finish. Impressive!

On tap. Had this at a fireworks display, I was shocked to find anythig worth drinking. This is a pretty average porter, with a very roasted character. Not much in the way of layers to the flavor.

Bottled. Dark brown coloured with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate with notes of liquorice and coffee. Nice roasted flavour with lots of liquorice, coffee and chocolate. Roasted and hoppy finish.

Good aroma and appearance. Smells like chocolate and roasted malt. The color is dark brown and the head leaves nice lace in the glass. The flavor is OK but you can really taste the alcohol and its a little on the bitter side. Besides bitter there are caramel and chocolate notes to this one. The after taste is bitter coffee.

Black colour with thin tan head. Mild roased malt nose. Medium roasted malt taste with lingering bitter malt taste.

The bottle poured a deep-garnet liquid with a small tan rocky head. The head did not last long but did leave some nice lacing on the glass. The aroma was dominated by malt characteristics such as caramel with hints of chocolate. It had a medium to full body with medium carbonation. The flavor started off slightly bitter with notes of sweet, dried fruit. The middle continued to be slightly bitter and the finish was long-lasting and very dry.

Another enjoyable session from this Brewery. Still came off like a typical stout - some coffee, some chocolate... lotsa roasted goodness. For such a mass produced beer this was great.

pours blackish, armoa is of mocha, and taste is roasty with some chocolate. only complaint was that this was perhaps a bit watery, but only a little. i enjoyed their stout more, but this is a good offering too

Rich in roasted malt flavor like a great imported porter. Sort of chocolate-y, too. A good one for winter.
