Very dark brown. Mmmm, very good porter. Incredibly well balanced. Great roasted malt and chocolate flavor with a gentle bitter finish. Great smooth mouthfeel. Certainly enjoyed this one.

Black with a large brown head. Smells of sweet caramels, candy, and some fruitiness. Flavor starts sweet, with that fruitiness and candy, but finishes bitter and smooth. Nice & tasty... and inexpensive!

Black with tan head. Very syrup-like flavor. I guess honey? Has a slight bitter hop finish

Another one from the pack of "old faithfuls". Pours a dark black color, with a medium head. Aroma is roasty malts. A medium bodied porter. More chocolate than coffee in the nose. This beer is also a little hoppier than most porters. Smooth taste. A nice drinkable porter, nothing fantastic, just consistently good. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Bottle: Roasted coffee and light chocolate aromas. Pours a dark brown with red hilights when held to the light. Real nice tan head with excellent retention. Light caramel up front with a nice roasted coffee, light dark chocolate, and citrus hop finish. Very nice porter.

Bottle poured very dark as you’d expect. Tan head that didn’t last very long but just barely remained . Not much lacing in this pour. Carbonation was pretty decent nose was malty and fortetaste was chocolaty coffee even a tad of Postem, with a very slight bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel was satisfying. All in all a pretty good Porter.

pours a deep black (ruby hi-lights in the light) with a fully developed light tan head that leaves moderate lace. nose roasty and malty, with an almost tobacco-like hint from the Willamettes. flavor rounder and less sharp than the color and aroma would imply. really an awesome porter, with great chocolate flavors. easy to drink, too.

Bottle. As always, a nice nose of hops, hops, and more sweet West Coast hops from Sierra Nevada. Nice dark ruby black color with small creamy head. Great bite with porter strength. Coffee, Cocoa and pure hop flavor. Great stuff as always from these guys. I just don’t know why they put the twist off caps on these great beers... it must be that laid back California attitude. Nice dry stout-like bite. Another success!

Not much aroma at all. Some barley scent. Typical beautifuly dark porter. Initial head was nice, but quickly diminished into smaller version. Some lacing. Bitter chocolate, hints of coffee, roasted flavor, nuts. Tasted kind of weak and light in my mouth, possibly due to the Bells Third Coast Ale I drank prior to this. Probably need to give it another chance.

Bottle. Very dark with an impressive tan head. Roasted malt aroma with a noticeable hoppiness. Crisp, roasty, dry (too) hoppy flavors. Malt and mouthfeel was a tad weak, but the flavor was pretty good. Fairly quick, dry finish. Not the best out there, but not a bad choice by a longshot.
