While good, this did not make me want to lug heavy baggage onto passenger trains. Pretty hoppy for a porter, but not all that malty and porterey. More like for the guy who takes your ticket and punches ridiculous undiscernable holes with alacrity while wearing a silly hat.

Black colored, hints of red. Little beige head. Coffee, roasted and mildly sweet aroma. Coffee strong in flavor, mildly sweet and dry. Short ending.

(Bottled) Opaque dark brown with a smallish, lacy head. Roasted-malty, slightly sweet, smoky aroma with licorice hints. Slightly sweet, moderately malty, aromatic and slightly smoky and flavor. Medium to full-bodied, very smooth, neutral palate with a bitter finish and slightly lemonadey carbonation. A nice, but quite mild porter.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a nearly opaque dark mocha brown with decent tan head. Considerable lacing. Well-balanced aroma....you can smell the hops and the malts, and a touch of chocolate and coffee. Sweet, hoppy, chocolatey flavor with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Well-balanced in general, and smooth on the palate. One of the best porters I’ve had, but in all pretty standard.

I enjoyed this beer very much. It was a good balance of malt and hops. I felt as if the flavor had a slight blueberry/cranberry hint to it with a light caramel/vanilla finish.

Bottle. Pours opaque black/brown with a coffee colored head. Nice lancing exhibited. Aromas of malt and coffee, a mild fruityness. A rich flavor, sweet and chocolatey, yet a refreshingly bitter aftertaste. A good porter.

Pours a deep brown with a nice creamy tan head. Flavor has some caramel and chocolate. The aroma from this brew is nice and malty. Has a wonderful finish. One I will be enjoying again soon.

Very dark brown. Mmmm, very good porter. Incredibly well balanced. Great roasted malt and chocolate flavor with a gentle bitter finish. Great smooth mouthfeel. Certainly enjoyed this one.

Black with a large brown head. Smells of sweet caramels, candy, and some fruitiness. Flavor starts sweet, with that fruitiness and candy, but finishes bitter and smooth. Nice & tasty... and inexpensive!

Black with tan head. Very syrup-like flavor. I guess honey? Has a slight bitter hop finish
