Bottle at home. Pours black with a small off-white head. Aroma is coffee, slight chocolate, earth, ash. Taste is big coffee, roasty malts, ash, very slight chocolate and a round earthiness. A really easy drinking porter that is well balanced.

Belle couleur noir reflet rouge.

Bottle shared. Clear deep copper brown pour with thin off white head. Aroma is nutty, light toasty notes, signature Sierra Nevada Chico yeast, light chocolate. Taste is very nutty, light roasty notes, bordering on a peanut flavor. Palate is med bodied with light carbonation, not very carbed at all. Decent.

(355ml bottle from SB shared) Pours very dark brown with a small eggshell head and no lace. Aroma is lean roasted malts, toffee, a little cacao and coffee, light hopping gives hints of pine needle and fruit. On the palate, again fairly lean dark malts with toffee, some chocolate and bitter coffee, dry roast grain, a bit toasty in flavour. Finish is a little astringent from the roast like old coffee, some pine, lingering toffee. Finish is quite dry and low-med bitter. Fairly light body with low carbonation. A decent porter but nothing that really inspires one to love it, drinkable though it is.

Black coloured, really huge lacing. Aroma is small scent of coffee and malt. The result is a porter which is fairly plain and thin, with small notes of malt, coffee and chocolate. Lacks any dominant flavour and aftertaste. Ordinary, but what could you expect considering the abv.

Pours a dark brown from a bottle, crema colored head. Aroma of dark-roasted malt, flavor of coffee, a little chocolate richness. A little too bitter and too thin for my taste. Okay beer.
