Bottle. Dark brown/mahogany body, lighter than average. Aroma has soft roast and a bit of old milk chocolate. Creamy, but a bit light mouthfeel. Medium soft roasty taste with soft cocoa and cream. Smooth finish. Good balance and very drinkable but I prefer my porters to be darker and more robust. This would make a good session porter because it doesn’t wear out one’s palate too fast and it looks like it is one of the more widely available porters (at least in the US).

A very nice porter, excellent for the abv in fact. True to the (American) style, big in flavor, dominated by roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, hint of coffee flavors. Delicious and quite dry in the finish. A touch thin, perhaps, but it’s only 5.6%!
