Poured a very dark brown, much lighter than other porters. One- to two-finger light tan frothy head that diminished quickly to a collar that laced poorly. Carbonation high with medium sized bubbles. Aroma nice and strongly of dark chocolate. Taste smoky and a bit sweet. Medium body. Smooth, smoky and with a slightly sweet finish. Very nice.

On draught at roscoes - pours clear dark amber with small off white head. Nose of smoke, grass, and chocolate. Taste is of smoke, coffee, and bitter grass. Very dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Lighter colour than most porters - an amber brown. Dark fruits and a touch of coffee in the flavour. Medium body. I usually like my porters a bit darker, but this is flavourful and very nicely balanced. Not outstanding, but nice.

Pours a lighter black with a small head. Aroma is big chocolate, and coffee, nice roasted malts too. Flavor is more subdued than I was hoping for with that lovely aroma. Not nearly as roasted flavor as I expected. Carbonation is nothing special. It’s smooth which is nice, but I was hoping for a richer flavor.

Well done for a traditional style porter. Aroma is fairly roasted with bits of sweetness. Flavor is also roasted, little coffee and slight caramel. Really well done, a great stand by porter.

Bottle. Nice aroma of coffee and chocolate. Dark color, with nice tan head. Mouthfeel is about right. Taste is nice, with coffee, chocolate, and just a little bit of bitterness. The aroma is probably my favorite part though. Nice porter!

Porter noire, mousse beige prononcé, persistante et crémeuse. Carbonation assez faible. Entrée en bouche crémeuse, ensuite le goût de malt toasté arrive sans brutalité, en fin de bouche rappelle le goût à café. Ce qui garde une amertume très ronde.

12 oz bottle at home. Pours brown with a medium sized tan head. The aroma and flavor has roasted malt, coffee and chocolate, earthy hops with a hint of caramel. The body on this is a bit thin. Pretty average porter, but I guess it is decent for a mass produced porter.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2014 Belle couleur brun foncé; arômes et goût de malt torréfié; finale légèrement amère; une bonne bière
