12-oz. bottle into a pint glass at my house on Nov. 7, 2012 (purchased at World Market in La Mesa (San Diego, Calif.) for $1.99 on Nov. 7, 2012). Very dark brown with khaki tan head. Above average wet and foamy retention on the sides of glass, good on the top. Smelled roasted nutty malts with toffee, caramel, coffee (light), liquor (light) and cough syrup (light). Tasted toffee, roasted nutty malts, caramel, smoky and bitter coffee beans (light). Still got a small amount of the cough syrup. Medium-to-full body. Slick texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. A pretty good porter, which is no surprise given the brand. I’d definitely have it again.

Poured a solid red-tinged black with a rocky tan head that lasted insanely long. Aroma mild of light toasted malts a bit of dust and not much else. Taste is a wonderful rolling of flavours; initially dry and low on flavour it explodes into bitter coffee, then a hint of dark chocolate, then into long sweet toasted malt with sweetness gently fading away into the finish. Full bodied and a touch creamy on palate, and very long finish.

Riktigt trevlig.

355ml bottle into shaker. Looks great, deep mahogany red/brown with two finger tan coloured head. Nose is distant dark chocolate and cocoa. Smooth texture, taste follows nose. Finish has fruity tang undercutting the smokiness. Easy to drink, typical porter.

Not much dark malt smell, odd but not bad. Strange light texture, crisp and almost refreshing. not much of anything stands out except how light it is

Dyp brun klar med rødskjær. Høyt beige skum som ligger godt. Lukter espresso, mørk sjokolade og nof kakaopulver. Middels fylde. Lett bitterhet. Mørk sjokolade og kaffe. Lett sødme, mot svisker. Kort.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2016 From the bottle poured into nosing glass. Pours dark brown with beige Finger thick head. Nose is malty hearbal, kind of bready. Some alcoholic notes too. Taste is dark bread, toasty herbal hops grassy hops finish still malty and astringent... A bit to much carbonation and slightly watery... Still okay drink...
