12-oz. bottle into a pint glass at my house on Nov. 7, 2012 (purchased at World Market in La Mesa (San Diego, Calif.) for $1.99 on Nov. 7, 2012). Very dark brown with khaki tan head. Above average wet and foamy retention on the sides of glass, good on the top. Smelled roasted nutty malts with toffee, caramel, coffee (light), liquor (light) and cough syrup (light). Tasted toffee, roasted nutty malts, caramel, smoky and bitter coffee beans (light). Still got a small amount of the cough syrup. Medium-to-full body. Slick texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. A pretty good porter, which is no surprise given the brand. Iíd definitely have it again.

12oz bottle poured out a medium brown color with off white head that didnít last long as all...thought it would be a bit darker but donít let looks deceive you. aroma is roasty malts with light hints of chocolate and coffee. very little bitterness on the tongue. but you do get the roasted malts and coffee but mild as such. medium bodied. decent flavor but I have had much better porters than this but yet this one is still pretty tasty.

Bottle from SarkyNorthener cheers Martin; dark brown pour with a creamy light tan head, roast malt and rich chocolate aroma, taste has plain chocolate, roast malts, some sweetness and a moderate bitter finish.

very average for the style. I like Porter in general, so Iíll give it higher than a 3, but not because it stands out at all. there are better options out there."

Appearance is very dark, almost black, with hints of brown at the base. One finger foamy, light beige head which clings to the glass. Aroma- lots of cocoa and milk chocolate, coffee, roast malt, a definite hop presence. Taste- a fair bit of dark fruit and liqourice, dark, roasty malt, coffee bitterness at the end. Medium mouthfeel. Good porter.

As you would expect this pours dark but with a nice creamy tan head reminding me of Guinness. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate slight caramel and ash. Taste is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Although a little thin in the mouth it is rather smooth and slick. Overally a pretty decent beer.
