Pours almost black with big creamy dark white head. Aromas of carnations and burnt malts. Strong taste of caramel and especially burnt tones. Nice and round.

Frothy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy roasted aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Heavy bitter long finish. Onedimensional roasted notes. No licorice and week chocolate. Oily palate.

Bottled, 350ml from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Oxon. Black with ruby hue, creamy head. Dark roasty notes right from the off, earthy and coffee husk. A little burnt and bitter but with a background sweetness and carbonation. Decent enough Porter.

Chocolate and licorice in the aroma. Hint of red berries. Thin. Roasted flavor with licorice and chocolate. Red berries. Dark chocolate aftertaste. Too thin to be really good, still a tasty porter.

A dark brown porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a smooth coffee with light acidity, caramelized nuts, espresso, very nice. In mouth, In mouth, a smooth chocolate malt with light iron notes, coffee grinds, a bit attenuated, but nice. 2 yr old bottle.

Very dark mahogony brown with a good sized beige head that thins to a film.
Nose combines a big dose of roast malt with chocolate and molasses.
Taste comprises roast malt, chocolate, hoppy backbone, molasses, dark toffee fudge.
Medium bodied with fine carbonation, roasty bitterness in the finish.
A well constructed porter showing that a porter/stout doesn’t need to be 10% to be a ’goodun’ !
