2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Overall this is more like a brown ale to me. Dark, but in some light there is lots of see-through and the liquid looks brown/red-ish.
Weak aroma, hints of coffee, hints of roasted malt.
Same for the taste. Not at all unpleasant, but not what I look for in a Porter!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
First impression- dissapointed, look like more dunkel than porter.
Pours clear, reddish brown with dark, beige soapy top, some lasing too. Aroma- malty and malty with hints of vanilla, a bit chocolate, little clean, yeasty seems too. Taste- medium sweet with gentle toasted bitter, light dry finish. Medium bodied, watery texture, mild carbonation. Boaring and too casual for such price.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A- Roasty, malty, tobacco, bitter cocoa.
A- Very dark brown color, dark liquid, off white head.
T- Roasty, malty, watery, bakers chocolate.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish.
O- Middle of the road. I am not a huge Sierra Nevada fan to begin with but as much as I liked their Stout I thought the Porter might be good too. It was not bad but again it was pretty mid tier.
