tylerss20 (34), New Hampshire, USA May 8, 2008 Pours medium brown with thinnish white head that dissipates quickly. Notes of caramel, chocolate, roasty. Tastes a bit more subtle, with nuts, a bit of chocolate, coffee, and mild bitterness. A little thin for my taste in porters, but pretty good Aquilo (98), California, USA May 5, 2008 Dark dark red-brown (almost black) with a small tan head. The head dissappears too quickly. Aroma is quite nice; chocolate and a hint of fruit. Flavor is mild and chocolatey with not too much hops. Palate is average. medium bodied, but a tad bit too bubbly. The flavors are well balanced here, but there is not much character. bryandhargrave (142), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 5, 2008 yet another good go at making a beer by the people from chico. thats all i want to say. for real. thats it. i dont want to type anymore.
