Mar 15, 2007 Another one of my favorites. This porter pours with a dark brown color (nearly black). Full of coffee and chocolate flavors. Wonderful aroma, and incredibly smooth.

Nov 30, 2004 hico county’s version of a porter. This one is smooth, a bit roasted, but without the common nutty flavor found in many porters. Not too malty. Nothing dominates or jumps out as acutely descriptive of this one.

Mar 17, 2007 This is a fantastic porter.It pours deep dark brown with a small mocha colored head.It has an incredible flavor of dark chocolate malts with notes of Kola nut ,prunes and mineral water,the water gives it a refreshing electric palate leaving your tongue tingling and mouth watering,it is just exeptional.It has a medium hops presence to let you know you’re drinking a porter,but not an overwhelming bitter,balanced just right,the flavor reminds of a russian imperial stout more than a porter.This is the one of the best Porters/stouts on the planet with a very unique flavor.A must buy.Made by a great California Brewmaster,great job!
