Bottle. Loved this west coast spin on a classic. Dark brown color and foamy brown head. Aroma of hops, but dominant in roasted nutty malts. Mixture of estery hop and roasted malts in flavor. At times like a brown ale, at others, smokey and sweet. Brown sugar and pine. IPA esters. Changed its character, but in the end, its lingering malt finish and dark roasted notes reminded me it was always a porter. Not a huge Sierra fan, but this is by far my fav.

Drank from the bottle. Aroma consists of roasted nuts, coffee, vanilla, caramel, and cereal. Taste is sweet and revolves around the coffee and roasted nut flavors. Medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation and a sticky mouth feel.

First impression- dissapointed, look like more dunkel than porter.
Pours clear, reddish brown with dark, beige soapy top, some lasing too. Aroma- malty and malty with hints of vanilla, a bit chocolate, little clean, yeasty seems too. Taste- medium sweet with gentle toasted bitter, light dry finish. Medium bodied, watery texture, mild carbonation. Boaring and too casual for such price.

Bottle. A- Roasty, malty, tobacco, bitter cocoa. A- Very dark brown color, dark liquid, off white head. T- Roasty, malty, watery, bakers chocolate. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Middle of the road. I am not a huge Sierra Nevada fan to begin with but as much as I liked their Stout I thought the Porter might be good too. It was not bad but again it was pretty mid tier.
