3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma - Heavily roasted malt. Appearance - Very dark brown with some reddish hues and a thick tan head. Flavor - The roasted malt flavor is present but unlike other porters a strong hop flavor comes out and dominates. The beer is a bit thin for a porter and could be a little smoother. Overall it is drinkable, but nothing special.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Avgerage porter. Good but a little dull. Thin mouthfeel and a semi-watered down flavor profile for a porter.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A fine porter. Red brown colour with creamy head. Strong typical porter flavours but with sharp clean after taste that many lack. Not overly strong at 5.6 but still a solid beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pleasant aroma of roasted malted barley that is fairly strong. Pours a rich dark red-brown in the glass with a tan head that fades to a lasting film. Some lacing. Feels very smooth in the mouth with soft carbonation. The flavour is fantastic, mostly malts and hops with a light bittersweet finish. Overall, this is a great dark ale.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Würzburger Fass in Würzburg. Pours deepest red and chesnut with dense head. Aroma is dominated by dark malt character, woody, whiskey-like, almost smokey. Taste starts fairly sweet but dries out to leave coffee, roasted malt power. Hop bittering takes a secondary role. Better balance than I was expecting.

Great porter! This is one on my go to porters! Nicely balanced with a little hop kick. Nice chocolate aroma and taste with a big roasted malt component. A very easy drinking porter. Medium to full bodied.
