UPDATED: APR 10, 2010 12-oz bottle. Toasty aroma with some hints of prune and bread. Dark brown color with reddish cast. Stiff brown head with legs. Bitter and mildly sweet at first. Roasted to the point of ashiness. Sour cherry and apple notes. Bitterness mellows and then deepens on the finish. Pretty clean however. Medium to light body with some astringence on the front. High drinkability. Changed my opinion about this beer after several bottles. It grows on you but it is still just slightly above average.

12oz Bottle. Pours dark brown with white thick head. Smell of coffee and vanilla. Taste is lighter than typically porter and lower than usual alcohol content noticeable compared with others I drink. Mild bitterness at end and overall gives the feeling that it's missing something, like drinking a lighter beer. Good overall especially when want a lighter porter.
