Bottle. Fluffy eggshell head with good retention and some spotty lacing on a coppery clear orange body. Slight spicy rye, very earthy overall with earthy hops and some leafy hop notes. Rye comes through the most, dark breadiness and leafy earthy hops. Medium body with tiny carbonation bubbles. Solid.

12oz bottle pour. comes out a transparent deep copper with a generous white head. aroma is of earthy hops, spicy rye and malt. nice and hoppy up front trailed by a bitter earthy rye aftertaste. pretty well balanced in my opinion as compared to some of the other rye-país iíve had. iíll have another..

Pretty fucking good beer. I wasnít a fan of Glissade so Iím good with this and so I keep buying SN beers after celebration. A lot hoppier than I thought. One of the best ryes around. A lot like terrapin rye.

Sampled with mm. Wow this thing is fresh. Clear orange with good offwhite head. Great piney citrus lightly spicy peppery nose. Flavor is very similar but adds the rye notes and more fresh green resinous hops. Very clean and spicy. Might be one of the best rye beers iíve ever had.

Amber appearance with a thin white head. Aroma is strong rye and spices with an equally strong hop presence. Flavor is very intense, strong hops and rye. Earthy flavors in the aftertaste. Overall, reminds me of Terrapinís Rye Pale Ale, but with a stronger hop presence. Very enjoyable.

12 oz bottle. Pours a translucent copper color with a small off-white head that slowly recedes to a fine film. The nose is spicy with salty herbs, rosemary, pepper and some light citrus. The flavor has bitter hops in the forefront, with spicy grains following. The palate is medium with lively carbonation. Finishes clean and dry with a bit of spicy hops. Overall: A very tasty ale, very sessionable. This went down way to fast.

Tap at SDBC. Clear auburn with a creamy one finger light beige head good retention, clingy lacing. Nose of some citrus and green hops, sweet rye. Flavor adds some woody spicy hops, light toasted malts. Nicely balanced, the finish is semi-dry, bitterness peaked at a 3-4. Medium body with creamy light to moderate carbonation. I could drink a it of this.

Pours a nice clear copper with a nice light tan head. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops and rye and citrus notes. Lots of rye followed by the hops with notes of citrus and pine (west coast hops). Interesting twist on a west coast IPA.

Bottle into English pint glass. Even with a reasonably calm pour, this thing headed up to 2", settled, and stuck right about there with some nice indentation and a seafoam look. Quality lacing. Rich aroma of pine with malt sneaking through periodically and moderate hints of inflatable rubber. Pretty thick palate--heavy beer. Good dose of bitterness and some serious alcohol comes through as well. Actually way hotter than its actual content. I donít get a ton of the rye; blind, I might mistake this for a double IPA. Finish is spicy, either from hops or rye, not sure. Certainly a nice beer, just a little heavy for me; Iíd suppose Iíd prefer Pale Ale or Torpedo for my Sierra hop fix.
