COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ruthless IPA is brewed with this rustic grain for refined flavors Ė combining the peppery spice of rye and the bright citrusy flavors of whole-cone hops to create a complex ale for the tumultuous transition to Spring.

12 oz bottle: Pours a dark copper, clear with a nice light head. Nice lacing and slow CO2 release. Aroma is thick with a grainy, bready malty side and a grapefruit and citrus hop side. Very nice mingling of aromas and flavors. Very heavy on the rye, almost like you are in the fields and yoru senses are tingling from the wafting pollen of the rye. Palate is complex with a dry hoppy flavor and abit of an astringent finish. Great tasting and malty IPA. Not as freshly hopped as some in its class, but a nice drinker with great availabiltiy.

Very nice rye IPA. Poured into a standard 12oz. mug from 2012 bottle. appearance is a clear dark amber with a small white head that quickly dissipates leaving little to no lacing. Aroma is peppery, cereal rye (duh) and citrus hops, maybe a little caramel too. Taste goes with aroma, big peppery rye taste and a nice crisp citrus hop bitterness on the finish. Medium body with a average carbonation and a nice bitter finish. Overall a great rye IPA which will be perfect after work sitting outside on the first warm March afternoon of the spring. Extremely drinkable, will be enjoying this over and over, and will probably cut into my SN Torpedo consumption!

Bottle pours dark amber with a thick light tan head. Aromas are floral and a bit of spice. Taste is solid malt backbone with a bit of spice and finish with hop bitterness. Leaves a nice lingering bitter finish. Overall, another solid IPA from SN.

This is a wonderful IPA. I really wasnít sure what to expect but I had to try it because it was new and the art was exceptional =D This will definately be one of my go-to beers when I need a good, well balanced IPA. It has a nice dark brown color when poured and it doesnít leave a horrible after taste like some IPAís. This one is a hit in my book...

Bottle from kegs and barrels. Pours a rich amber with a thin white head. The aromas are grass, bread. The mouthfeel is dry and bitter with a heavy body, Very nice beer! Cheers!

Bottle 2012. Aroma has notes of spicy rye, toasted cereal malts, smokey woods, herbs and citrus hops. Very interesting aroma. Darker amber brown hue with an average sized off-white head that mostly diminished and left great lacing. Flavor is medium sweet and heavy bitter. Palate is medium/full bodied and oily soft. Overall a wonderful showing from Sierra Nevada. Love the take on a rye IPA and everything about this brew showcases SN quality. Very well done.

Purchased from D.E.B. (formerly "Liquor Direct") Liquors in Covington, Kentucky - Alright, this one pours a very effervescent golden brew with an off-white head of foam and a delightful peppery wheat aroma. Tastewise, this is one damn good beer!

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear copper with a foamy near-white head. Cat pee, but mild, aroma over rye. Med body. This is superb. Lots of hop and that rye flavor. Iíll go with the description: peppery spice and citrus. Amazing.

The greatest beer Iíve had in a while. I am a huge fan of rye alcohol. Aroma was citrusy. Appearance is rustic brown with a tiny head. The taste is nice rye spice with a good whole cone hops citrus. the palate is parallel to the torpedo from sierra nevada. Overall I am a fan.

Not a huge fan. The rye is so pervasive. A tangy, copper, spice flavor that i canít get past. Seems well crafted and if you like rye this is probably up your alley but not my cup of tea.
