Pretty good rye IPA...I am usually not a fan of rye beers, but this is definitely worth a taste.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a deep copper with a thick head. Aroma is slight pepper. Taste is light hops but is very smooth to drink. A very good beer.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Tap at Ron's. Pours a clear reddish orange color. Aroma is wet weeds, caramel, rye grain with an odd element. Flavor is dry, bitter, plant roots and more bitter. I do not care for this.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at Smak 14. Pours amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is floral with hints of lemon, citrus, grapefruit/orange and pine. Some grainy notes as well. Flavour is more of that hop profile followed by a quite dry bready tone. Finish is slightly hoppy and sweet. Well balanced and a quite complex ipa. Good one

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had a half pour at Craftsmen Tap House in Charleston. This is a good beer. Tastes to me like a hoppier, sweeter, and ever so slightly rye version of their classic- the pale. Pours a deep orange and taste is definitely citrus and hops- somewhat less refined than the pale. Tastes like the same hop profile with a bit of rye and maybe pepper. Could have more rye for my taste. It’s good, just prefer the pale.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Love it - the rye adds a sour pucker to the clean, hoppy, bold IPA finish! LIght in color and the rye spice and hops produce a bouquet like no other beer I’m aware of.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
maybe i’m just easy to please nowadays (as long as it seems like the brewer actually gave a shit about quality/flavor profile), hence the 8.5/10 rating. notable in this offering is a large foamy head that barely diminishes. otherwise nothing surprising here if you’ve had rye-themed ales before.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a bottle. Copper brown in color. Lots of foamy head and Nucleation is present. Fair amount of lacing is present. Tastes hoppy bitter and peppery. Not my favorite but decent beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A darker color than most IPAs, this is a very drinkable beer. Mildly hoppy with a smooth finish. A nice break from standard IPAs, I will certainly buy this again.
