COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ruthless IPA is brewed with this rustic grain for refined flavors – combining the peppery spice of rye and the bright citrusy flavors of whole-cone hops to create a complex ale for the tumultuous transition to Spring.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2013 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a clear red-ish brown with minimal head and sustained lacing. Very grainy aroma, typical citrus IPA notes but a little more subtle than a standard IPA. Spicy rye. Taste is very rye driven, almost a roasted rye flavour. Medium body and bitterness. I’m not really into rye IPA’s but this was drinkable.

A pretty low key, yet solid IPA. Not much of an aroma, but pretty tasty. It's steady, but a tad boring. If I were using those phrases to describe a basketball team (such as the Spurs- who are old and boring) it'd be a bad thing, but for beers it still means you're drinking a good beer. Also... I hate the fucking Spurs. Especially Ginobli. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gorgeous clear red/brown pour with a thin white head. Aroma is a bit spicy, some floral hops, pretty subdued. Flavor is tangy, slightly bitter, a bit spicy. Grainy in a good way. Nothing over the top. Easy drinking nice IPA.

Keg @ Earl of Essex 2013/3/26 Not much to it. Probably the weakest of the ryes that I have tried. Overly carbonated for the style and no head retention. Nothing in the aroma to speak of. Pleasant enough flavour. Peppery enough. Expected more from this brewery.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear deep amber color with a massive frothy white head. Aroma of earthy and piney hops, light citrus, and a touch of sweet malt. Taste of pine, citrus, and spicy hops.

Fantastic offer from Sierra Nevada. Deep, edgy grains coupled with a buoyant nose and prickling bitterness. On rotation.

12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured a transparent lightened brown color, white ring for a head with several frog eyes, moderate lacing. Aroma of toasted rye, and a very faint note of hops. Hits the mouth with medium body, malt wasn’t drenched in caramel which is refreshing, even hop cresent in the middle, finish if acidic and sticky. Good stuff.
