Ruthless IPA is brewed with this rustic grain for refined flavors – combining the peppery spice of rye and the bright citrusy flavors of whole-cone hops to create a complex ale for the tumultuous transition to Spring.

"AWESOME addition to Sierra Nevada’s 6-pack line-up. Super excited this is a normal priced sixer beer! Aggressively bitter, spicy, and citrus abounds. Some malt sweetness present as well. This is the type of beer that is usually at least twice the cost of this beer per ounce and in 22’s or 750’s

Backlog rating on 9-02-2012 (Bottle) This beer has a small off-white head that is fully lasting, transparent golden body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing adorns my glass. The aroma is pine, citrus hops, spicy, light rye, and malt. The flavor is pine hops, moderately bitter, malt, peppery, and light rye. The mouthfeel is aggressive and this beer is medium bodied. The hops are upfront as they should be for this beer’s style. It is a beer for the hopheads and is worth trying.

12oz bottle packaged 01/21/14. Pours a clear, deep orange with a thin, off white head. Aroma is a blend of rye, bread, caramel, pine, and resin. Taste is balanced. Resin, pine, a bit of sweet caramel, bread, and some rye spice. Medium body and carbonation. A bit resiny/syrupy in the mouth with a bubbly carbonarion. Overall a solid brew. Nice flavours of pine resin, bread, caramel, and rye. Would get again.

Pours slightly hazy amber brown colour with one finger of white head. Not the strongest aroma. Grapefruit and floral aromatics most present with bread and a little toffee as well as it warms. Thin, slick body. Taste is quite bitter and dry with a little spiciness. Finish is dry. Nice, but definitely not the best beer of Sierra Nevada.

BOTTLE. 2013, fluffy white head with a amber gold colour & plenty of floating particles. The rye is all nose & taste is just hops/bitterness that warms you up, long bitter/spice after taste. Sourced form Cellarbrations Capel

Pours three fingers of head, very distinct smell of fresh IPA. The taste is great, perfectly balanced for this kind of beer. A really good IPA!

This is a decent beer. Nose is of grapefruit, bread, and rye. The flavor had a decent sweetness to it with only a slight bitterness. In my opinion the mouthfeel was alittle watery but not enough to ruin the beer.

Hazy golden color, small to medium sized white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, bread and malt. Slightly sweet, some bitterness. Thin to medium body (closer to medium), average carbonation. Good.

Pours a cloudy amber color with decent lacing. Tastes slightly bitter and of rye. Strong rye flavor and an overall strong beer. Would def drink again.
