3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured from bottle with nice off-white head. Copper in color. Very citrus hoppy aroma. Taste was very bitter with strong grapefruit aftertaste. Leaves a somewhat clean palate with a slight remaining aftertaste. Overall an average beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is an average IPA... and a not to good rye pa... The rye is very limited... but maybe that was the goal and why it is ruthless. Not very peppery... not very rye... thus the low score.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not a huge fan of this one. The aroma was nice and fruity with a little bit of sticky bitterness. The flavor on the other hand was more bitter than I would have liked. There is a little malty and bready sweetness to it but it doesn’t last long. The main issue I had was the bitterness and the way the bitter taste remained on my palate. There aren’t many rye beers I have had that can top the Terrapin Rye in my opinion.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I expected more from this. While Sierra Nevada’s standard pale ale offering is quite good in and of itself, this beer tastes just like it but with the subtle addition of that signature peppery rye note. This beer is quite good, but the rye just isn’t intense enough for my liking.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(draught) rich copper/amber with soapy off white bubbles that last forever and lace excellently. Smells like sweat, spicy rye, mild grapefruit and citrus zest. Taste differs greatly. Spicy rye, nice malt backbone of caramel, spicy hops mix well. Body is oily and delicious finish with some crackery citrus finish

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This has been my go to since it hit TN....always in my fridge. Copper pour with a small white head. Rye aroma along with pink pepper, grapefruit, and pine. Nice full body with just enough carbonation. THe flavor is more IPA than rye, resinous, with the rye just adding a bite. Really hits the sweet spot for me.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured into 16oz pint glass. Head was very bubbly, and went away after about a minute. Aroma is very nice, hoppy aroma, color looks like a light red color, taste the hoppiness, but not too intense, very nice drinkable beer for me. Good job Sierra.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
The aroma is not very enjoyable, cereal grains, like being in a grain silo. Some caramel after a while. The appearance is a clear amber color, off-white head. The flavor is much nicer: rye, spicy, caramel, citrus hops. The finish is spicy, light pine hops. medium in body. Decent beer. Drinks better than it smells.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a dark copper, light white brownish head with thin retention, lots of lacing on the side. Has a very faint aroma, but it seems like a nice blend of grainy, sweet malty and hoppy all in one. Its not overly bitter, but it strengthens towards the end. Its semi sweet and very grainy. Some veggie type flavor from the hops. Med-low carbonation, though it kind of lingers on the tongue. Medium body, pretty slick texture.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Orange red amber with a bubbled pillowed head. Aromas of spicy citrus hops with some candied caramel and grain. Flavors of very dry citrus hops enhanced by the rye bitterness. Dry and very bitter. Noticiblely a more unique stand out from your typical ipa.
