3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Corks of Bristol. Copper coloured with a slight white head. Aromas of oranges, sweet malts and spicy grains. Flavour had more marmalade fruit, a lot of spice and a dry finish. Very good.

Draft. Brownish orange pour with a tight head a light version of the same color. Bright hoppy bite is balanced nicely by the dark grain flavors from the rye. Citrus pith and zest. The rye both sweetens and drys. Good balance, though brings some weight that fills one up.

Bottled. Poured clear medium orange with a tight-bubbled, sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up juicy orange and grapefruit hoppage accented by peppery and light floral notes.. loved it! The flavor found more of the peppery rye, and it worked well with citrus bitterness on the edges.. pale and biscuity malts at the core.. mighty tasty. Medium-bodied with higher carbonation on the palate.. spicy and engaging.. this went down very easily.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A very appealing ale to look at. Rocky, looming off-white crown atop a fiery, ruddy copper body. Fine streams of carbonation keep the head well afloat, the foam well adherent to the glass as it empties. Heavily spiced, phenolic, earthy and herbaceous nose. Really get the impression of roasted rye grain coming through the piney, camphorous and raw US hops of the aroma, a very pleasing, mellowing effect it has. Creamy, smooth yet meaty and rounded mouthfeel. Malty, dry and spicy; the rye is penetrating but in the same sense contained, balanced. A contradiction beer. Displays a very pleasing herbal and resinous hop back end, an assertive bitter finish and long malt, rye and raw hop finish. Viciously refreshing. Woody, piney, nutty and dusty; there is nuances of camphor, heather, nettles, whole hop cones like they were still floating in their, this is freakishly delicious. Restored admiration for this brewery came with less than a pint full. Addictively good stuff!! (12fl.Oz, 2012 release, Cellarbrations Carlisle)

Draft to pint. Looks decent. Smells and tastes alright, but pretty mild, especially for a RIPA. mouthfeel is good. I liked it better from the bottle.

Nice amber color. Great lacing from a strong but not to full head. Has a good IPA taste but not as strong after taste. Taste almost some fruit notes

Solid beer. Good hop profile. Somewhat dry. Farily typical Rye IPA. Nice finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice mix of a doughy, bready beer and an IPA. The rye really stands out in this beer and the mix of hops balances it nicely. A bright amber pour with a small white head. Nice lacing on my glass that sticks throughout. Aroma of malts, rye, and hops. Flavor is citrusy hops and rye bread. A really nice brew.

Powerfully hoppy aroma and taste with a strong grain flavour. Very complex bitter beer
