Bottle. Poured copper-amber with a ton of off white head. Aromas of citrus and pine. Taste is big - spicy hops, nutty/fruity both, somehow. Creamy palette. Good beer overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Clear dark amber with a dense off-white head. Dry nutty aroma. Medium body, some initial caramel notes quickly suppressed by a distinct and somewhat rough bitterness. Absolutely clean and well made but the hop profile is a bit unrefined to my liking. 100312

Bottle. Moderately rye spice and citrus nose. Dark pour with the great SN head. Not too full on, spicy, toffee and a average bitter finish. Solid creamy mouthfeel. Very MOR. SN remind me of the Foo Fighters. Solid, dependable - everyone likes them. They rock hard and are tight as s#$%. But they are a tad boring and samey all the same.

Draft at the Mason. Pours dark, hazy amber with one-finger tan head. Very frothy, good retention. Big spicy hops on the nose, mild pine and orange. Grapefruit, massive spicy rye on the tongue, mouth-puckering hop kick. Pretty great.

T - fruity citrus hops up front. Caramel malts, apricots, rye. On the palate. Lingering bitter hops, vegetal, and rye on the end. Citus/pine hops dominate. O - the rye is not noticeable through the overstated hops. 6+

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Had a copper hue with a nice white head. Aroma of hops and toastiness, and tasted the same. I didnít notice a taste of rye (especially not a pepper taste as stated on the bottle). Then again, Iím not sure what the essence of rye is unless thatís what I taste when I have a pastrami sandwich. It was a likeable beer, and Iíve since bought some more.

Pours a clear copper hue with a white 2-finger head that quickly dissipates. Hoppy aroma with hints of lemon and pine in the background. Strong hoppy bitter flavor with acrisp rye background. Finishes on the dry side of bitter. Medium body.
