3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at the Mason. Pours dark, hazy amber with one-finger tan head. Very frothy, good retention. Big spicy hops on the nose, mild pine and orange. Grapefruit, massive spicy rye on the tongue, mouth-puckering hop kick. Pretty great.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Had a copper hue with a nice white head. Aroma of hops and toastiness, and tasted the same. I didnít notice a taste of rye (especially not a pepper taste as stated on the bottle). Then again, Iím not sure what the essence of rye is unless thatís what I taste when I have a pastrami sandwich.
It was a likeable beer, and Iíve since bought some more.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear copper hue with a white 2-finger head that quickly dissipates. Hoppy aroma with hints of lemon and pine in the background. Strong hoppy bitter flavor with acrisp rye background. Finishes on the dry side of bitter. Medium body.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. (Tasting note- enjoyed this with spicy food.) Reddish amber with think white head dissipating quickly. Smells mostly piney/resiny and to a lesser degree grapefruity/perfumey. Flavor follows. Nice dry finish.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
My introduction to rye IPAs came via New Holland Rye Hatter and maybe that set too high of a standard, but this just doesnít wow me. It carries the wonderful rye aroma and pours beautifully, but start drinking and youíll find it lacks flavor. The bottle copy talks all about the unique peppery flavor the rye imparts. Did you get that? Because I sure havenít. Iíd drink it again, but not for the price itís going for on shelves.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Neighborhood, SD. It pours clear amber, with a fluffy white head. The nose is bubblegum, sweet tangerine, rye, spice and herbs (sage and thyme). The taste is wood, resin, rye, lemon soap, metal (from carbonation), umami aspect and a some spice, with a long bitter-dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Actually tastes a lot like homebrew... Still pretty enjoyable though.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light aroma of grass and grapefruit but a taking a deeper whiff gets a nasty sour note. Clear reddish-amber with an inch or so of persistent head. Taste is grapefruit and pine with a nice bitter aftertaste that doesnít overwhelm.
