4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Love it! Very much like their regular IPA. Bright brass colored with a thick and rocky head. All the usual aroma of citrus and pine with a li’l sumpin’ extra, a grainy kind of spiciness - ginger and nutmeg, but not in a holiday beer kind of way. Flavor is mostly hops and then bitter hops, just barely enough malt to keep up, then that spicy-grainy flavor in the finish. Could use more rye flavor for the style. And a little more carmel malt to counter the hops, but what do you expect from SN? Still, this is a flavor bomb.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.355l bottle. This is a deep dark orange amberr one, and it has a small beige lacing head on the top. The aroma reveals pine, wood, birch and in general its quite pungent and hoppy! In the taste I get a nice almost rough sweetness. It’s also somewhat floral. The carbonation is about what you can expect and it feels light oily in the mouth. Surprisingly light and easy to drink this, was expecting a bit more resistance but this is smooth! Lots of pine hops lingering in the aftertaste along with bitter zest. A delicious beverage. 07.09.2013

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep orange with a creamy looking head. Aroma is subdued tropical fruits with a distinct malt profile that must be coming from the rye. Taste is slightly chewy, bready with notes of citrus and melon. Bitter finish, dry.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark amber, a little haze and a thin white head.
Strong citrus and floral aroma, bread dough and honey.
Crisp and citrusy, a great sour dough and rye malt. Big floral and pine resins, a good spicy bite.
The finish is very dry, good bitterness, much like a nice fresh loaf of rye bread.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is a moderate to heavy dose of rye spiciness, grass hops, and earthy undertone. Cloudy orange appearance. Bitter is a pretty straight forward, this is not one of those extreme rye ales. Downright quaffable at that. This of course from the brewer that does 50 shades of pale.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at The Beer Bistro.
Clear amber pour, small off white head. NIce hoppy aroma, some grass, light citrus, and touches of spicy rye. Good carb, good mouth feel. Finish was a touch spicy, with more pine hops and some light nutty, bready malts. nothing to write home about. I think the bottle was a little old.

35cl bottle, vintage 2013, bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Close to clear, golden-brown coloured body. Firm and lasting off-white head. Spotty glass-lacing. Mid-sweet, citrus hoppy nose with bread-like malts beneath. Flavours of pine, resin, and peaches on a backbone of mild dark spices. Smooth bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Good drinking (at home Tromsø 03.11.2013).

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hoppy aroma, much flower, citrus, but it was nice and soft on the nose. A nice cloudy light brown colour, a off white creamy head. Taste, very smooth, easy drinking beer, the alcohol is hidden well, the after taste was long and tasteful, the bitterness was also smooth.
