Ruthless IPA is brewed with this rustic grain for refined flavors – combining the peppery spice of rye and the bright citrusy flavors of whole-cone hops to create a complex ale for the tumultuous transition to Spring.

Clear copper penny color with small white foamy head that dissipates quickly to a film. Leaves good lacing on glass. Nice aroma of grapefruit and slight lemon with rye spiciness coming through and some malt sweetness. The flavor and spiciness of the rye is apparent along with some piney hop flavor and moderate bitterness and the malt sweetness. Rye always gives me a tea flavor and this is no exception. Semi smooth mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Very nicely balanced and fairly easy to drink. Would definitely drink again. One of the better rye beers I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On Tap at Bier:Thirty Clear deep redish amber with a thin soapy tan head and lacing. Rich woody malts and a biting rye bitterness. Not of lot of hoppy IBUs but decent balance.

Pours a medium copper color with a average head. Lots of tiny bubbles rise from the bottom of the glass continuing to build the head from beneath. Aroma of hay and malts. Aroma is a bit more muddled than the crisp, clear aroma of many IPAs. A bit more body and malt flavor to this one than I would have expected. Not super hoppy but it does have a bit of bitterness. Nice mouth feel. Kind of an odd beer in my mind, but yummy nonetheless.
