4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a medium copper with a nice head and medium lacing. Aroma is of juniper and grass. Flavor is slightly sweet and spicy with a good dose of bitterness in the finish. Damn it, why does everything SN makes have to be excellent. I am waiting for them to branch out, but they never do.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice copper color with a little over a finger of peanut foam. excellent clarity and near web lace. Smells dank, some resin, pine, grapefruit, skunk and a little soil. Interesting, not sure if I dig it.
A bit nutty up front with a good grainy backbone and even some corn. An interesting malt profile I must say. The hops are herbal and theres even a sage flavor in here to me. Some sweetness and nutty flavors, almost a hint of oxidation on the malt. Iím really intrigued by this beer, I canít really say I like it, but I donít really dislike it.
Mouth is a bit heavy with higher carb and a dry finish for the style. This beer is not feeding into any of my expectations.
I really am having a hard time deciding on this beer, but Iím thinking it may be a little too rustic for me. The malts are weird, but the hops match the weirdness, Iím pretty torn on this one. Itís above average, but not great. I will likely revisit just to creep the intrigue.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tried the SN torpedo, then saw the ruthless rye..not quite as good as torpedo but still very drinkable..earthiness of the rye comes thru..definitely a different flavor but in a good way..and got it for$15 for a 12pk..shared with friends and a good time was had by all...

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Pours an earthy golden colour.
Aroma. Itís a nice sweet peppery aroma.
Taste. Taste is similar to aroma, but also present from start to finish and in the after taste is a lingering intense bitterness.
Overall. This beer is very weak in taste, despite the strong bitterness, a very simple beer that has flavours i like and nothing i donít.
With all that weighed up, itís a good beer from start to finish and certainly one of the better ones iíve tasted.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.355l bottle. This is a deep dark orange amberr one, and it has a small beige lacing head on the top. The aroma reveals pine, wood, birch and in general its quite pungent and hoppy! In the taste I get a nice almost rough sweetness. Itís also somewhat floral. The carbonation is about what you can expect and it feels light oily in the mouth. Surprisingly light and easy to drink this, was expecting a bit more resistance but this is smooth! Lots of pine hops lingering in the aftertaste along with bitter zest. A delicious beverage. 07.09.2013

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep orange with a creamy looking head. Aroma is subdued tropical fruits with a distinct malt profile that must be coming from the rye. Taste is slightly chewy, bready with notes of citrus and melon. Bitter finish, dry.
