This basically smells like a pale ale. Flavor is mellow malts with a fairly crisp finish. Very smooth body but with pale ale like finish as well. Cascade it seems.

Scopey (11563) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2013
Cask gravity at GBBF 2013. It pours clear amber with a minimal white head. The nose is resinous, oily, raisin, toffee, fruit cake, wood and butterscotch. The taste is oily, earthy, pine, resinous, dark fruit, raisin, brown bread, nice bitterness and a touch of alcohol. Medium body, low carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Smooth and well-rounded, but perhaps a touch cloying. Decent.

chinchill (3901) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 1, 2016
12 oz bottle from the shop at the NC brewery; served in a lager glass. Pours with a clear brown-amber body and a very large, durable, frothy, off-white head. No sediment. This may say "amber ale" and have a corresponding appearance, but the hop dominated aroma suggests an APA or IPA. While the flavor has a higher malt/hop balance, it is still not what is expected in a typical "amber ale". Mildly bitter with a near medium body and lively carbonation. Overall: comes across as an English/American Red Pale Ale.
