COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You don’t need a magic mirror to see the lure of this beer. It’s brewed with seven varieties of experimental dwarf hops. These hops are so called because of their uncommon growing method—shorter hedgerows rather than tall trellis systems—that yields a denser heap of cones with unique flavors that diverge from their full-grown botanical counterparts. Each year new and different varieties are grown in this method, creating untried and exciting shifts in hop character.

12 oz. bottle at home from notes. Pours a hazy pale, golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have wheat malts, coriander, floral character, some sweetness, bread, and mild citrus. Light bodied, moderate carbonation and a dry, malty mouth feel. Average for the style.

(Bottle). Aroma and taste of wheat, grassy hoppy, spices, grapefruit, malt, yeast and spices. Oddly beer, which I thought was not a very good experiment with new flavors. Why is this called an IPA?

[Bottle] Deep golden pour with a large white cap of head on top. Lots of zesty citrus, pineapple and pine in the nose. Flavors of citrus hops, peppercorns, wheat malt, spruce, orange, yeasty esters and resin. A really nice hoppy bite in the finish. Highly drinkable and a nice blend of flavors. Tasting notes from 8/2014.

@ Havregatan 150303. Bottle (350 ml) from Systembolaget. Fruity and wheaty with citrusy and hoppy notes, yeasty and light estery notes, light spicy, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter and wheaty.

Bottle @ home. Slight hazy pale golden yellow, 2 finger white head. Lemons, green bananas, dough, straw and herbs. Herbal lemon flavour with straw and some yeast. Medium dry bitter finish. Medium to lighter body with soft carbonation and dry texture. Quite dry and refreshing, but maybe a bit too herbal/spicy. More wit than IPA.
