3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Milky dark orange juice colored pour with a tall, chunky eggshell head that has great retention and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is very fruity, lots of sweet lemony citrus, melon, floral, a little tropical fruit, a little banana, bubblegum and tart berry. Flavor is very citrusy up front, lots of sweet orange, lemon and orange zest, a little spice, bubblegum, sweet malt, sweet wheat, and toward the finish lots of floral hop notes. Very fruity and perfumey. Medium body, creamy to chalky feel throughout, light carbonation and lightly dry finish. Not bad overall, one of the best "White IPAs" I have had, other than Anchorage Galaxy White, which is pretty much in a league of its own in the category as far as what I have tried.

Citrus meets Belgian style. Hop-enuf with a strong Belgian backstory. Cloudy day with a bitter back-stroke.

355ml bottle. Has a dominant floral citrus aroma. It has a cloudy pale yellow appearance with minimal head. A fizzy body dominated by sour fruits slowly gives way to the underlying hop character.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Looks just like a pale ale/wheat hybrid, slightly cloudy straw color. Two fingers of nice white head, good lacing. Flowery wheat and hop nose. Very little bitterness but some spice on the tongue from the coriander reminds me of Sam Adams Summer Ale with more of a hop presence.

Poured from bottle into tulip as a cloudy sunburst with a foamy white head.
Yeasty wheat aromas with citrus and spice. The nose is hardly a hint of the bursting flavor. I haven't been drinking many wheat beers lately but this one might change my mind. It's got so much more going in than your run of the mill jefe.
I can drink a few more of these for sure.

Not sure if this actually an IPA - more like a spicy Wit - but whatever it is it is good. Lots of funky hops and herbal notes...good medicine.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sierra Nevada plus hops is almost always a formula for a winning combination. It’s no surprise that Snow Wit is an excellent White IPA. However, Sierra Nevada’s decision to include coriander and lemon comes at a bit of a surprise. In terms of ingredients, Sierra Nevada is about as traditional as you can get. Though unusual for the brewery, the additional ingredients work quite nicely. The hazy golden color and big, frothy head were just what I wanted. I also liked the balanced aroma. Some Belgian yeast, bread-like wheat notes, and grapefruit zest from the hops. Flavor is surprisingly complex. Banana sweetness and spicy cloves from the malt and yeast. The hops and lemon create a juicy bitterness. The coriander helps to amplify the clove notes in the yeast and pairs well with the citrus notes from the lemon and hops. While the carbonation is just a bit too fizzy, the overall feel of the brew was pleasant. In all, I greatly enjoyed Snow Wit. The combination of flavors was expertly executed and doesn’t feel at all half-assed. Both fruity and spicy, Snow Wit is a phenomenal White IPA.

The seven dwarfs (hops) are evident. The Belgian Wit yeast is good too, but could be even stronger.
