COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ale marks our journey to the only place on the planet where fresh hops are harvested in our spring, the Southern Hemisphere. Our task was daunting-we needed to get the hops picked, dried, flown halfway across the world and into our brew kettle in a little over a week’s time. The result is a North-by-South fusion of fresh New Zealand hops blended with the finest North American malts. Its robust hop character presents an intriguing floral-citrus aroma leading to layers of fresh-hop spiciness. Enjoy!

I had this at Global Brew. Pours amber with a off white head. Taste. Citrus, pine, hoppy. I thought this was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at Stateside Craft, Vancouver; 6.9% ABV
Hazy amber color with creamy head, nice lace. The malt profile is not bad, rather simple though; but it fails mainly on the hop side; it has some hop resins and very limited hop fruitiness, but it’s also dusty, not at all what is expected (tasted in January).
Simple IPA.

From a bottle 2014 label. Aroma: not much maybe some banana, taste: fruit, bitterness, alcohol. Finish: lingering bitterness and alcohol. Not bad but expecting more but seems slightly oxidised why the bastards at 1st choice liquor are selling so "cheap on special" for AUD $8.

Bottle pour into goblet. Nice thick white head, about an inch at first pour. Leaves great lacing behind as it recedes. Aroma is very malty, nutty, roasty with hints of butterscotch and banana. Appearance is reddish, like old copper. Taste is a bit of a letdown to me -- kind of sour, not heavy but medium and bitters are lacking the "oomph" I expected. More malty than hoppy, I guess that’s to be expected from a 2013 brew in 2015. I want to try it fresh.

Love their harvest series. Fresh hops here are excellent. Fruity green grassy huge aroma. Nice use of malts to mellow out what may have been to astringent. Perfect balance perfect beer.

[from notes] Appearance: clear amber in color with an ample multi-density head that lasts and leaves plenty of lacing on glass. Smell: earthy and floral hop aroma with a significant medium toasted malt component. 6.7% ABV is evident. Taste: immediate hop hit; hoppy throughout but with a detectable malt backbone in mid-taste. Turns more piney, grapefruity and bitter in the finish. Unique hop profile: must be the fresh NZ hops. Mouthfeel: medium body and carbonation. Crisp throughout with very mild bite up front and a semi-dry finish. Overall: Very good, certainly, but not up with the Northern Hemisphere version.

The aroma is great, sweet dark fruit, brown sugar, maple syrup, has Belgian strong ale smell. A nice foamy head. The taste is actually kind of thin, really easy to drink though, basically a slightly jacked up session IPA with a great aroma.
